The Delock 42600 is an external metal enclosure that lets you use an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD as fast external storage through USB-C. It is suitable for building your own external SSD for backups, cloning, workshop diagnostics or portable high-performance storage.
With the JMicron JMS583 chipset and SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps, also known as USB 3.2 Gen 2, the enclosure can provide high transfer speeds when both the SSD and host computer support the full connection speed.

NVMe PCIe support – not SATA
The enclosure is designed for M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs with Key M or Key B+M, provided the modules are PCIe based. It also supports double-sided modules with a maximum component height of 1.5 mm. M.2 SATA SSDs are not supported.
Good to know
The Delock 42600 only works with M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs, not M.2 SATA SSDs. Check the drive type before purchase. Actual transfer speed is always limited by the slowest part of the connection: the SSD, the host computer's USB-C port and any cable or hub between them.
