USB 3.2 Gen 2 provides 10 Gbit/s, compared with 5 Gbit/s for USB 3.2 Gen 1. The difference is particularly noticeable when you:

We recommend the USBC-1122M when connecting an external SSD, docking station or other equipment where 5 Gbit/s is not enough. Its main advantage is that it provides both 10 Gbit/s data and 60 W charging in the same cable. If you need to charge a more powerful laptop that requires 87 W or 100 W, choose a 5 A cable instead, and if a display is to be connected via USB-C you need a cable with explicit DisplayPort Alt Mode support. One metre is a good desk length – if you need more reach, the same type of cable is also available in 2 metres.
