Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 16 PoE (USW-16-PoE) is a fanless 1U switch with 16 Gigabit ports, eight of which provide PoE+, plus two Gigabit SFP ports for fibre uplinks. With 36 Gbps switching capacity, an integrated 1.3-inch touchscreen and full integration with UniFi Network, it serves as a stable network hub for small businesses, shops, surveillance systems and advanced home networks.

• The total PoE budget is 42 W. Even though eight ports support PoE+, the budget is shared between them – add up the consumption of the devices you intend to connect before ordering.
• The eight ports without PoE+ are standard Gigabit ports without power delivery.
• The SFP ports are 1G. The switch has no 10G uplink.
• The operating temperature of −5 to +40 °C and humidity of 10–90% non-condensing mean the switch is intended for indoor use.

We recommend UniFi Switch 16 PoE when you have outgrown an 8-port switch and want a proper network hub with room for fibre uplinks. Its main strength is the combination of 16 ports, two SFP ports and completely fanless operation in a steel chassis – it can be rack-mounted or placed in a work room without being heard. Keep in mind that the total PoE budget is 42 W despite having eight PoE+ ports; if you plan to power many access points or cameras at the same time, calculate their total consumption first, and for larger camera installations a switch with a higher PoE budget is a better choice. If you need a 10G uplink, the 1G SFP ports are not sufficient and you should instead look at a Pro or Aggregation model.
