Ajax KeyPad Plus White – keypad with touch buttons and DESFire reader

Ajax KeyPad Plus Jeweller is a wireless keypad with capacitive touch buttons and a built-in DESFire card reader. The alarm system can be armed and disarmed using a personal code, Ajax Pass card, Ajax Tag key fob or a third-party DESFire-compatible access card, without taking out a phone.

DESFire is based on the international ISO 14443 standard and combines 128-bit encryption with copying protection, providing a considerably higher security level than simpler access tags. The keypad communicates with the hub through Ajax's encrypted Jeweller radio protocol with a range of up to 1,700 metres in open space.

Codes, duress code and protection against code guessing

KeyPad Plus includes several functions for secure code management.

• Codes of 4 to 6 digits, with a selectable fixed or flexible code length

• The duress code appears to disarm the system while sending a silent alarm to the alarm receiving centre
• The keypad locks for 3 to 180 minutes after three incorrect codes within one minute

This makes valid codes difficult to guess and provides protection even under threat.

The clean touch panel measures 165 × 113 × 20 mm and suits both residential and commercial environments.

Temperature value in the app

KeyPad Plus measures the processor temperature and displays the value in the Ajax app. The permitted difference between the app value and room temperature is 2 °C.

Long range and secure communication

Communication uses Ajax Jeweller technology, developed for high operational reliability and low energy consumption.

• The keypad is not compatible with Hub (2G) Jeweller or the ocBridge Plus and uartBridge integration modules.
• KeyPad Plus does not have a built-in siren; audible signalling is provided through connected Ajax sirens.
• The keypad is intended for indoor installation. The approved operating range is −10 °C to +40 °C and humidity up to 75%.
