Ajax LeaksProtect White – wireless water detector with four sensor pairs and IP65

Ajax LeaksProtect Jeweller is a wireless water detector that identifies leaks and flooding before major damage occurs. It is placed directly on the floor where the risk of a water leak is greatest, for example beneath a dishwasher, washing machine or water heater, or in a boiler room.

The detector has four contact pairs around its edges and reacts to water within 0.15 seconds. The enclosure is rated IP65 and withstands humidity up to 100%, making it suitable for damp environments. Estimated battery life is up to 5 years from two pre-installed AAA batteries.

LeaksProtect has four contact pairs along the underside edges that continuously monitor whether water is present on the floor. The detector is always active, regardless of whether the alarm system is armed or disarmed.

Installation tips for the best performance

• Place the detector at the lowest point of the floor near the potential leak source so that water reaches the contacts early.
• Do not place it directly in a floor drain or where it is regularly wetted during normal use, as this would cause unnecessary alarms.
• Check the signal strength in the Ajax app at the intended location, particularly when the detector will be positioned behind a metal appliance.

Good to know

• The detector is intended for indoor use. The approved operating range is 0 °C to +50 °C.
• The detector reports water but does not shut off the supply by itself. Automatic shut-off requires a motorised valve controlled by an Ajax scenario.
• Dimensions vary between production series: older units measure 59 × 59 × 14 mm and newer units 62 × 62 × 14 mm.
