We recommend DT 770 PRO 32 Ohm when the same headphones need to move between a mobile phone, computer and audio interface without an external amplifier. It is also our first choice when you need to reduce ambient noise, record with a microphone in the same room or work in an open-plan office. The faux-leather ear pads provide the best isolation in the series but become warmer than velour during very long sessions – if the headphones stay at a desk, the 80-ohm version with velour pads and a 3-metre cable can be more comfortable. If you want an open, airier soundstage for mixing, look instead at DT 880 PRO or DT 990 PRO.
