EXC Cat6 S/FTP Network Cable – White Shielded Patch Cable, 0.15 m

This EXC Category 6 network cable is a short S/FTP shielded patch lead. Each twisted pair is wrapped in aluminium foil and the complete cable is protected by an overall copper braid. The shielding reduces electromagnetic interference, making the cable suitable for environments with substantial electrical equipment, such as server cabinets.

Support for frequencies up to 250 MHz provides additional performance capacity compared with Cat5e, while the short 0.15 m length is convenient for nearby patch connections.

Benefits

  • Category 6 with support for frequencies up to 250 MHz
  • S/FTP shielding with foil around each pair and an overall braid
  • Short 0.15 m patch cable for confined server cabinets
  • Individually packaged

PC & HiFi Örebro recommends

This shielded Cat6 cable is suitable for server cabinets and electrically noisy environments where an unshielded cable could be affected. Shielded S/FTP cabling should be connected to properly earthed patch panels and connectors for the shielding to work as intended. In an ordinary home without significant interference sources, an unshielded Cat5e or Cat6 cable is often sufficient.
